September Favourites

Tuesday, 30 September 2014

It only seems like last week that I was writing my August Favourites, but somehow we're at the end of September and I've now started my masters degree. Anyway, here is what I have been loving this month:

1./Maybelline - Baby Skin, Instant Pore Remover
Until about a year ago, I had never used a primer as I was a bit apprehensive about them clogging my pores. However, I tried the MAC Skin Base Visage for nights out and loved it, so thought I would try a slightly cheaper one for everyday. This primer from Maybelline is perfect - it does exactly what it says on the tin, erases the appearance of pores and maintains my make up all day. I'm still cautious about wearing it everyday so save it for days when I won't be able to touch up my make up, but I'm still loving it a lot!

2./Garnier - BB Cream
This is something that I had never tried before and wasn't too sure what it did. I don't like wearing foundation everyday, but having such pale skin I need something that makes me look more human. Normally I just use a pressed powder as I can top it up throughout the day, but working in a shop doesn't allow that. I started to look up BB creams on the internet and this one from Garnier consistently came out as being one of the best. It is really light on the skin and it claims to be a 'miracle skin perfector' which I would say it is to some extent, however, by the end of the day a lot has disappeared from my face. Having said that, I do love it and it definitely is a much better alternative to foundation for everyday use.

3./Clarks - Griffin Monty, Black Patent
If you saw my What I'm Wearing | Topshop OOTD post you would have already seen me mention these shoes so I won't go into too much detail about them here. However, they have been my fashion favourite for this month and I have worn them non stop. They are so versatile as they go with trousers/skirts/dresses etc - I just love them!

4./Orange Is The New Black
I know I am ridiculously late with this one, but seeing as Suits has now finished for the season, I needed something else to watch. I've been so busy lately that I haven't got very far with it, but what I have seen, I absolutely love! I won't say much about it because I know so many people have seen it or want to see it, but it's sooo good and I definitely recommend that you watch it!

What have you been loving this month? Let me know in the comments.
