Things That Made Me Happy | September #2

Sunday, 14 September 2014

This week has been very busy, filled with work and a trip to Norwich and Cambridge, so I've had plenty to be happy about.

Monday
I worked 9-5, but my friend Rach came into the shop with her mum to buy some boots. I love it when friends come and say hi to me at work. I can't always stop and have a catch up, but it's nice to see a familiar face and it really breaks up the day.

Tuesday
I ordered a choker on ebay at the weekend and it arrived on Tuesday. I love ordering stuff online because I often forget about it and then it's a nice surprise when it comes in the post.

Wednesday
As both my parents work late on a Wednesday, I offered to cook dinner. However, once I'd finished work I had a text from my dad asking if I'd like to get a Chinese take away instead. I'm not quite sure if that's because he couldn't face my cooking or not, but either way, it was a lovely treat and a perfect end to a busy day.

Thursday
I drove up to Norwich after work and went out for dinner at TGI's which is one of my favourite restaurants. Having spent the last 3 years of my life in Norwich, I really do miss it now that I'm back home so it's always good to go back.

Friday
I spent the day shopping in Norwich and went for brunch at my favourite cafe - cafe 33. It's such a shame that there is no where like that in Croydon because it's such a cute place to meet up with friends.

Saturday
I had such a fun - filled, happy day on Saturday. Emil and I decided to spend the day in Cambridge which was really lovely as I'd never been there before. I actually fell in love with the place, it's so picturesque and we had such a great day there. My friend Fiona from university lives in Cambridge so it was the perfect opportunity to meet up with her and have a good catch up as I hadn't seen her since graduation.

Sunday
I finished my shift to find my friend from work had left me a bottle of water and some caramel shortbread in my locker. After a busy shift, it was just what I needed as I was so thirsty and hungry. It really made my day.

What's been making you happy this week? Let me know in the comments below.

  1. I love this! It's so important to go back and think about what makes you happy! I wish more people were like this.
