My Everyday Make Up Routine

Sunday, 8 March 2015

I'm finally happy with my everyday make up look, after many years of practice and so I thought I would share it with you.

Face
Benefit Porefessional PrimerI'm fairly new to using primer and don’t quite know how I've managed to last this long without one. I love this one from Benefit because it feels light on the skin and helps to keep my make up in place all day.
Garnier BB CreamIt depends what I have planned for the day because if I've not got a lot going on, then I’ll skip this step, however, if I'm working or at university all day, I apply this to my skin as it’s a much lighter alternative to foundation.
Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer I use this for the bags under my eyes and any blemishes that I have. I love this concealer as it has a really good coverage without feeling too thick.
Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed PowderI've used this product for years as I absolutely love it! It helps to give my skin a flawless finish and covers up any remaining blemishes.
Bourjois Délice de PoudreIn the winter I just use this to contour my cheek bones to help to give more definition to my face. I don’t like to use too much bronzer in the winter because I don’t have a tan to compliment the look.
MAC Mineralizing SkinFinish in Lightscapade  – This is one of my favourite products at the moment. I only used to use a highlighter on a night out, but recently I've started to include it in my everyday make up routine. I use a bit along on the top of my cheekbone and it leaves a lovely glow along my cheek when it catches the light.
MAC Powder BlushThe last product I use on my face is this blusher, from the apples of my cheeks and along my cheek bone. I'm really loving this shade at the moment because it’s a perfect pinky/peachy colour for this time of year.

Eyes
Maybelline 24 hr Colour Tattoo  in Pink Gold I start my eyes with this colour tattoo as it provides a lovely base and helps my eye shadow to stay in place.
Urban Decay NakedPaletteI have lots of different make up palettes, but this is my favourite one for everyday. I particularly like to use ‘sin’ across the whole of my eyelid and then blend ‘buck’ in the outer corner of my eye and through the crease to add some definition to my eye.
Soap & Glory Supercat EyelinerThis is my favourite eyeliner at the moment as it is so easy to apply and is helping me to master the art of winged liner.
Urban Decay SuperCurlLashI am forever changing my mascara, but this is the one that I am currently using as it adds a lot of volume to my lashes and as the name suggests adds a lot of curl to them without being too clumpy.

Eyebrows
MAC Eyeshadow in Omega – I'm so bad with my eyebrows and am really lazy with them too. However, I apply this eyeshadow to my eyebrows using an angled brush as it’s really quick and easy and helps to define them.

Lips
The Body Shop Lip Butter in Coconut This is my holy grail of make up, I take it everywhere with me along with my phone and bank card, I can’t live without it. I usually apply it just as I start applying my make up as it helps to moisturise my lips ready for my lipstick/lipgloss.

I don’t have a lipstick that I use everyday as I'm forever mixing them up, but some of my favourites include, Revlon Lip Butter in Strawberry Shortcake, Tanya Burr Lipgloss in Afternoon Tea, Clinique Lipstick in Fresh Watermelon, Clinique in Candy Pink and Rimmel Apocalips in Celestial.

Although it seems like a lot of make up, it really doesn't take me long to do at all. What’s your favourite make up product for your everyday make up routine?

You should try Rimmel Volume Flash x10 waterproof mascara, it's a staple part of my make-up routine.
Any Avon Colortrend lipsticks are amazing too. They last forever..well until you wipe it off :')
