A Day Out To Arundel

Wednesday, 25 November 2015

It's been ages since Emil and I have been on a road trip anywhere. Now that we both live in London, we often spend weekends in the city or chilling after a busy week at work. However, I wanted to do something different last weekend and so we decided to drive down to Arundel as it's only an hour away from where I live.

In the morning it was raining heavily and we even had a spot of snow! However, luckily, by the time we left it was blue skies, but very very cold! We walked up to the cathedral and then walked round the cute little streets, visiting all the quaint shops. We then decided to stop for some lunch and found this lovely little coffee shop, although the food was nice, it wasn't anything amazing (hence no photos).

After, we decided to walk to the castle, but was disappointed to find that it was closed for the Winter, so we walked alongside the grounds (perfect photo opportunities), but it was soo cold, that we decided to head back to the main square for some scones and cream tea at one of the little tea rooms. I had a hot chocolate which had generous helpings of whipped cream and marshmallows, but it was generally one of the best hot chocolates I have ever had!

Although it was freezing, it was so nice to get out of London for the day and I had such a fun day!

Have you been to Arundel before?
