A little life update

Sunday, 1 November 2015

And so I begin another blog post with an apology! Sorry I haven't posted in what feels like foreverrr, but whilst my real life got really busy, my online life has had to quieten down and take a back seat. So much has changed within the last 2 months which has meant blogging has been at the very bottom of my 'to do' list.

So what's been happening?

I finished my masters, which is super exciting and such a relief. I recently found out that I'm graduating with a distinction which was really unexpected, but I'm so happy and proud of myself because this year has been such a struggle! Driving 360 miles a week, plus being in a long term relationship and holding down a part time job - hasn't been easy!

Talking of being in a long distance relationship, this is something else that has changed over the last few months...Émil now lives in London which is literally the best thing ever! It's sooo nice to have him close by and to be able to spend evenings with each other, rather than having to wait two weeks and only have the weekends together. Though it does mean the more I see him, the less attention my blog gets.

Finally and perhaps the biggest change for me is that I now have an adult job which is probably the main cause for my lack of blogging. Working in London 9.30-6 with an hour commute each way doesn't leave me with much spare time. Having said that, I am loving my new job and I can't quite believe how well things have fallen into place for me.

So I guess, I can't commit to regular blog posts like I used to, which makes me really sad, but now that my job involves staring at a screen all day, I'm less inclined to blog once I'm home. However, I don't want to say goodbye to blogging just yet, I do still enjoy it and I have some new posts coming very soon - so watch this space!

  1. It sounds like life has been going your way, Abi. I was in a long distance relationship once, but the other person was halfway across the world in London (I live in South East Asia.) That didn't really workout, though, so I'm completely turned off by LDRs now. It's wonderful that it's working out great for you. Enjoy life!
