Goals for 2016

Monday, 4 January 2016

For the last 5 years or so I have set myself a set of goals that I want to achieve by the end of the year (click here to see how I got on with the goals I set myself in 2015). So what do I have in store for myself this year?

1./Move Out
Seeing as I didn't achieve this one last year, I am determined to move out this year. I now have a steady income and a wonderful boyfriend to move in with, so there's no excuse anymore. I'm craving independence!

2./Get Promoted at Work
This is a little ambitious considering I've only been in the job 4 months, but there's definitely opportunity for me to get up  to the next level this year and I'm determined to do so.

3./Eat More Healthily
I'm sure this is everyone's New Years resolution which is soon forgotten by the end of January, but I really do want to continue this throughout the year. I've always had a bad relationship with food and have always been irregular with what and when I eat. However, now that I spend 70% of my time sat at a computer it's more important than ever that I maintain healthy eating, otherwise the pounds will pile on,

4./Develop an Exercise Routine
Following on from the last point, I want to ensure I establish an exercise routine that I stick to to compliment the healthy eating. One of last years goals was to be more consistent with exercising which I sort of achieved, so this year I want to take it to the next level and actually get into a strict routine.

5./Read more
I'm one of those people who loves reading and I always had a book on the go  however, this last year, I have barely read any books because I've been so busy and with doing a lot of reading for my masters, the last thing I wanted to do in my free time was yet more reading. However. this year I'm determined to get much more into reading again, so if anyone wants to recommend me any good books, let me know!

I'm so excited for 2016 and am feeling so positive for it. I finally have a career path, my cousin is getting married and I'm going to be a bridesmaid for the first time for one of my newest, but closest friends, Gemma and I can't wait!

What are your new year resolutions / goals for 2016? Let me know in the comments below.
