Charlotte Tilbury Legendary Lashes Mascara | Review

Sunday, 6 November 2016

The other week, I was very lucky to be one of the first 100 people into the new Charlotte Tilbury store in Westfield London (read all about it here) as a result, I was given a free mini Legendary Lashes mascara which I was super excited to try. Having never tried a mascara from Charlotte Tilbury before, I was really looking forward to finding out what it was like.

1./Volume and length
Having mainly used mascaras with plastic applicators lately, I was intrigued to try this one as it's not plastic. As a result, I find that it applies the product really evenly without it being too 'clumpy', meaning that every lash is separated to give a fuller eye lash look as well as adding volume and length.

2./Longevity
I haven't found this to be the longest lasting mascara in the world as it has left me with a bit of a black  fallout under my eye where the product has worn off, which I've found a little disappointing for such a premium product.

3./Applicator
For me, the brush is a little too big, I find it really hard to get to the outer lashes without smearing mascara all over my face. I think this may be because I'm used to using quite small applicators which are very different to this one.

4./Formulation
I really like the formulation of this mascara, it applies really easily and evenly to the lashes and the applicator helps apply it well.

5./Packaging
As with all of Charlotte Tilbury's products, the packaging is super cute. It's a lovely rose gold mirrored packaging, with the name down one side which looks like it's been written in beautiful handwriting and then really cute winking eyes on the other side. I love it!

I really wanted to LOVE this mascara and whilst I do really like it, I don't love it enough to purchase the full sized version. It's lovely to apply and does leave my lashes looking fuller, it just doesn't tick all the boxes for me, sadly.

  1. Ooh I was looking at getting this! My biggest bug bear with mascaras is printing under my lashes - not good. Really great and honest review :) xx

    1. I know right, it's so annoying, especially when it's quite a premium brand! Thanks so much for reading (: xx

  2. I've not got along with CT's mascaras either, I really wanted to love them, but so far, they just leave me with terrible panda eyes. :(

  3. I've got the full size version of this and I'm torn, I actually love how much it lengthens my lashes and I love the brush, but the formula is too wet and the fact that it transfers definitely doesn't sit well with me...

    1. Yeah I totally get what you mean, it has so many good points, but there's a couple of drawbacks that I'm hesitant to buy the full sized version. Thanks for reading (: xx
