By some small miracle, I graduated from the University of East Anglia with a First Class (Hons) degree in Psychology. I never in a million years thought I was going to get a first, but I managed to do well in my exams so it brought my averages up. I had such an amazing day, I graduated at 9.30, so it meant I had to collect my gown by 7.30! I was so nervous about falling up/down the stairs or that my mortar board would fall off, but in the end, everything went really smoothly. After the ceremony, I had lots of photos, followed by a drinks reception and then out for lunch with my family and Emil.
We have blue gowns, black mortar boards and a green hood, so it didn't leave me with much choice for my dress. I didn't want a colour that would clash with any of those, so opted for cream. My dress was from House of Fraser and I teamed it with a pair of black strapped heels from Clarks. I've had these heels for ages and haven't worn them for years. I bought them about 5 years ago as they were £15 down from £60 and even at the age of 16 I couldn't resist cheap heels. Although, I rarely wear them now, they were perfect for graduation because the heel wasn't too high (reducing the chance of tripping) and the straps made sure I wasn't going to step out of them whilst shaking the Chancellors hand!
I kept my make up pretty simple and natural, partly because I didn't have too much time to do it and I didn't want to look too 'made up'. These are the products I used:
-Primer - MAC Prep + Prime 'Skin Base Visage'
-Concealer - Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer in 'Light 2'
-Foundation - Maybelline Dream Matte Mouse in '005 Porcelain'
-Powder - Rimmel Stay Matte Powder in '004 Sandstorm'
-Bronzer (and contouring) - Bourjois Delice de Poudre in '52'
-Highlighter - Body Shop
-Blusher - MAC Powder Blush in 'Style'
-Eyeshadow Primer - Urban Decay 'Eden'
-Eyeshadow - Urban Decay Naked Palette - Sin for the base shadow and Buck for the crease
-Liquid eyeliner - L'Oreal Super Liner Black Lacquer
-Eyebrows - MAC Eyeshadow in 'Omega'
-Lips - Tanya Burr Lip gloss in 'Afternoon Tea'

I can't quite believe I've finally graduated, congratulations to anyone who also graduated this year and good luck to those who are about to begin their degrees!
