A Day Out To Cambridge

Wednesday, 24 September 2014

The other week, I had a rare two days off in a row and didn't want to see them wasted. I'd wanted to visit Cambridge for a long time and suggested to Emil that we visited there for the day. We walked around the shops and through the cobbled streets where we stumbled upon some sort of Tudor procession and then went for lunch at Byron Bugers, again, a place I'd wanted to try for a long time. The burgers were absolutely incredible, having only recently gone back to eating meat, I was really impressed with them and the mac 'n' cheese was amazing! After that, we walked around a few of the colleges at the University and watched a few punters on the river. I'd never seen punting before and whilst I really wanted to have a go, I don't think it would have been as fun with just the two of us, I think it's something that is more enjoyable with a group of friends. It was such a beautiful city and I instantly fell in love with it. One of my best friends from uni lives there, so we met up with her for a coffee which was really lovely. I took my new camera with me and took loads of photos - we went a bit over the top and believe it or not, this is only a small selection that I've shared with you. I definitely want to go back and do some more exploring.
