I'm Feeling 22 | Birthday Night Out

Wednesday, 10 December 2014

As mentioned in my post on Sunday, it was my birthday last week and as I managed to fit so much into one day I've decided to split it into two posts. After having had that amazing breakfast at 'The Duck and Waffle', Emil and I met up with my brother and his girlfriend as they had come home from university for the weekend and went shopping in Croydon. Afterwards, we went home and started to get ready for the night out. My mum had bought me a gorgeous dress from the Topshop concession in Selfridges which I teamed with my heels from New Look, but later had to change into my wedges from H&M. I used rollers in my hair to add more volume and will be doing a post on the make up I used soon so keep an eye out for that!

Once we were all ready, mum, dad, my brother (Ben), his girlfriend (Izzy), Emil and I went out for the most amazing meal ever at Karnavar. It was an Indian restaurant in South Croydon, but didn't serve the British curries that we're used to, but rather more modern Indian and European cuisine. To start I had Kerala Poached Egg Masala (which tastes so much better then it sounds) and then for main I had Salmon Recheado which was salmon with a roasted oat crust with Goan fish curry sauce. I was then served a traditional Indian desert with a candle in whilst everyone sang to me! After this lovely meal, Ben, Izzy, Emil and I went to the 'Slug and Lettuce' where we met up with lots of my friends, and then we went to 'Bad Apple' where I was able to meet up with more friends. I had such a lovely night, catching up with lots of different friends from school and work as well as others who I'm close to. It was so nice to go out and celebrate my birthday properly as I've been so busy lately that I haven't had the chance to have a good night out, so thank you so much to everyone who was able to come and celebrate with me, I hope you as good a night as I did!

P.S. Sorry about the quality of some of the photos, I only took my point and shoot out with me and the lighting wasn't great in the club
