Favourite Cleansers

Sunday, 11 February 2018

As I creep into my mid twenties, the importance of looking after my skin is becoming ever apparent. Gone are the days when I could remove my make up with make up remover and head straight to bed, my skin really suffers if I do that now, it looks so dehydrated. I’ve started trying a few different cleansers and like to use a different one depending on what mood I’m in, if it’s the morning or evening and what make up I’ve been wearing. I typically use a micellar water to remove my make up and then use these cleansers as my second cleanse.

This is one of the newest cleansers to be added to my collection and I’m sure all beauty lovers are familiar with the Glossier Milk Jelly Cleanser. I love the clean scent, I love how it feels when applying it to my skin and I love how it makes my skin feel once I’ve washed it off. It leaves my skin feeling so clean, hydrated and soft. Also, it’s really effective at removing all traces of make up.

This is the newest product to be added to my collection as it was a Christmas present from some friends. I knew I’d love it because I love The Body Shop skincare as it’s such good value for money and the products really suit my skin well. I love the Vitamin E range as it’s such a neutral scent and is so gentle on the skin, it’s great at removing impurities and keeping spots at bay.

3./Dr Botanicals Cleanse and Tone Cleanser (full review here)
This is probably the most premium of all my cleansers and so I use it more sparingly. I love that this is both a cleanser and a toner as it removes a step out of my regime which is always useful. I like to use the Dr Botanicals Cleanse and Tone cleanser in the mornings before applying a serum and I find this makes the perfect base for my make up and helps it last all day. I love this product, I just wish it wasn't as expensive because at £70.90 I can’t afford to be repurchasing it often!

This is my comfort zone cleanser (if that’s a thing) it’s the first cleanser I ever bought and I’ve got through so many bottles of it over the years. Again, it’s from The Body Shop and is such good value for money. I love the clean scent as well as the creamy consistency. The Aloe Calming Cream Cleanser is the one I reach for the most, my skin always feels so clean after having used it.

Having used to be someone who barely bothered with skincare, I’ve slowly started to build my collection of cleansers and started taking my skincare routine seriously. It’s so important to look after your skin and these cleansers have really helped me with mine. What are your favourite cleansers? I’m always on the look out to try new ones.

  1. My favourite cleanser is the Liz Earle cleanse and polish I'll definitely be trying these!
