The Body Shop Body Yogurt | Review

Sunday, 3 June 2018

As a huge lover of The Body Shop, I always have my eyes open for any new product releases. Recently, I discovered they’ve released a range of body yogurts. I love the body butters from The Body Shop so I was excited to see what the body yogurts had to offer.

I always get different scents of products based on the time of year. For the summer, I like fruity scents whilst in the winter, I opt for more creamy scents. As summer is well upon us now, I decided to try the strawberry body yogurt.

I moisturise every morning after my shower and whilst I find this the best way to keep my skin hydrated, I can find the body butters too thick when it’s a bit hotter. Therefore, I hoped the yogurt would be a good alternative. It has a lightweight gel-cream texture and it’s definitely a lot lighter on the skin though it did feel a bit strange when I first applied it to my skin as it has a more watery consistency compared with the body butters which I was used to. However, I definitely found it better to apply on hot mornings compared with the butters as it didn’t feel so thick on my skin.

Although The Body Shop claim the yogurts are fast-absorbing moisturisers, I have found it takes a little while to soak in, so if you’re after a quick absorbing moisturiser, then the body yogurt might not be for you. Also, it’s not as hydrating as the body butters, but for me, this is fine in the summer anyway as I don’t find my skin as dry compared with the winter months. It does however leave my skin feeling super soft throughout the day, I’ve been really impressed!

All of the yogurts in the range are cruelty free and 100% vegan which is another huge plus. Whilst I’m not a vegan myself, I am trying to move towards more vegan based beauty products and always seek out cruelty free products. At £8.50, I think this is a really reasonably priced product and definitely think I’ll be using this whilst the weather is hot.

Have you tried any of The Body Shop Body yogurts? I’d love to know your thoughts.
